Community groups in Edinburgh are being offered free University room hire, thanks to a new scheme. Local groups will be able to hold meetings, workshops, events and even rehearsals without the financial burden of room hire costs. Edinburgh Local edin.ac/44h9CMN
I'm looking forward to seeing Morna Young's James V: Katherine Capital Theatres: Festival, King’s & Studio - The Studio, this afternoon. I've enjoyed the James plays over the last few years, particularly for the subtle way in which the emphasis has gradually shifted from the monarch to those surrounding him.
Casting for a wee job with Complete Works in #Edinburgh !

Excellent article on Raw Material by Fergus Morgan:
'... Scotland’s theatres need to collaborate, co-produce and keep an eye out for commercial potential in order to survive and thrive. Raw Material, with its nimbleness and connectedness, is perfectly positioned to help them.'
Enjoyed Hannah McGregor’s debut play, Ness, directed by Debbie Hannan Òran Mór for this week’s A Play, A Pie and A Pint. Afton Arthur Moran’s young queer Scot, camping by Loch Ness befriends a camp, green creature (not a Monster!) played by a hilarious Craig Hunter emerging from the loch.
Having a rainy journey through to Glasgow this morning to sample the Òran Mór A Play, A Pie and A Pint experience with my friend, Cara. The play is Ness by Hannah McGregor, directed by Debbie Hannan .
It was a day of random encounters with people from my recent past: first, Róisín (Assistant Director for my 2022 Fringe play); then, Aude (we met on a The Lyceum course last year); finally, Charlene (met on a 5-day theatre workshop in Brighton in 2021). All lovely people!
Enjoyed 'This is Memorial Device', which may, or may not, have been the story of an 80s post-punk band from Airdrie, Traverse Theatre this afternoon. Well written, and staged, with an excellent performance by Paul Higgins, though I'm not sure if I 'got' what it was all about.
I'm looking forward to seeing This is Memorial Device, based on David Keenan's book, adapted and directed by Graeme Eatough Traverse Theatre this afternoon.
I am so glad to see that Gracie will be floating her way to Assembly Roxy for Edinburgh Festival Fringe. I read about the concept behind the show and saw it brought to life on video earlier this year (don't ask how!) and fell in love with everything about Gracie's incredible journey!
Hello Scottish theatre…
I’d love to meet with early career DIRECTORS interested in a solo show Edinburgh Festival Fringe who are based in Scotland’s central belt (preferably Edinburgh) but not precious about it. A paid opportunity.
Feel free to reply or send me a DM.
RT’s appreciated 🙏🏻
I've opened my DM's for this one!
I was wondering if anyone knows of any empty spaces or offices that could do with some cultural tenants.
Noticing a trend of more and more vacant spaces in Glasgow city centre and Wonder Fools would love to do some good with them.
Plz RT.
That’s the end of my A Play, A Pie and A Pint fix Traverse Theatre until later in the year, but I’ll be travelling through to Òran Mór to see Ness on April 9th and Who Pays the Piper on April 19th.
