Today, I joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, other dignitaries from within our country and abroad for the funeral rites of our elder statesman, former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. We paid our last respect to this great national icon in his hometown, Daura, Katsina.

His legacy as a patriotic leader, a man of discipline and principle, and a tireless advocate for Nigeria's unity and progress will forever remain in our memories. As we lay him to rest today, we reflect on a life of sacrifice, service and unshakable commitment to the well-being

of Nigerians and the development of our country. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. My heartfelt condolences go to his beloved family, the people of Katsina State and all Nigerians. Allah ya jikan shi da rahama.
