Questions for #farmers in #ausag about the future of farming in Australia? What are your greatest concerns? What are your greatest hopes? What are your greatest challenges? Any and all answers welcome!

Questions for #farmers and #agronomists in #ausag about farming in Australia! Do you think #biologicalcontrols and #biostimulants are going to be a major component of future agronomy/ farming? Or do you think they are an excessive cost and overrated? Keen to hear your thoughts!

I've just read @philipcball's book #howlifeworks: a user's guide to the new biology. I reckon I'll be thinking about it for years. Recommend to all interested in science and biology. Made me think a lot about biological systems in agriculture, and the future of biology in Ag.

So in addition to this #ausag #farmers #agronomsits: is there a better way to calculate nutrient requirements than crop removal? I think not, it makes the most sense, but recently had some agronomists arguing differently. I didn’t understand it. Thoughts?

Questions about Paraquat for #ausag #farmers: in broadacre mintill systems is it used primarily in a double knockdown cleanup? are there no alternatives due to price or due to efficacy, or both? If it isn't available, what will replace it? Martin Murray Oscar

The environmental impact of organic pesticides are much, much higher than from synthetic pesticides. Synthetic pesticides often only applied once, while organic ones are applied weekly. Great facts from Andrea C. Love, PhD #GrowCanada2024

Love when agriculturalists named Oscar have an itch they need to scratch and go out on a limb to follow their interests… Ill need to read more thoroughly over the weekend Oscar and see what we can do!
