I have two ways I annotate my R code: 1. Full, descriptive sentences written as if I am speaking to another person. 2. Absolutely no annotation, usually occurring with code that is particularly chaotic and indecipherable even to me.

Today I learned that Fall Out Boy made a cover of “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” A wonderful reminder to always consider whether your research is actually contributing to the existing literature.

My VA CDA-1 application was recommended for funding! Woohoo 🎉 For those in the thick of CDA applications, my first submission was described as “confusing, disappointing, and somewhat off-putting.” 😅 And it eventually got funded! There’s hope!

Made my first APA style table in #RStats using apaTables! I’m either crying for the hours this will save me in the future or for the hours I previously wasted making tables by hand. But either way, I’m crying 😭

Sadly, we still default to granting more respect to men than women. 8 studies: we're >2x as likely to call male politicians, athletes, teachers, and authors by their last names. It matters: surnames signal higher status. It's long past time to use consistent standards.
