While it’s welcome that NTMA have announced intention to divest, serious questions remain regarding the ISIF’s investments & I will be asking colleagues in the Finance Committee to write to the NTMA seeking details on divestment plans & on screening process for investments

8 yrs after Seanad passed my motion calling for rejection of CETA, the French Senate definitively rejected it today. For years civil society & public representatives have been pushing back against corporate courts & now it’s time for EU Commission to listen and finally #StopCETA

Right now, only families founded on marriage are recognised as “families” in our Constitution. That excludes so many of the other families we all know, including the 1 in 5 families that are one-parent families and many cohabiting couples with children. #YesYes

On Monday, the battle for gender equality & disability rights will continue. I believe we will be stronger in those battles if we have a section in the Constitution marked care & weaker if we choose in 2024 to keep current patriarchal language & ideas. I'm voting #YesYes tomorrow
