The new Health and Social Care Committee has been fast off the mark with this inquiry. The HM Treasury must amend the Budget to exempt charities providing social care commissioned by councils from the NI rise. Councils can't absorb these costs, meaning VCS providers having to. Some will hand back contracts or face large deficits. People will be left without support
