Research shows, a common factor separating effective teams from unsuccessful ones is the ratio of positive to neg comments made by their leaders w an ideal praise-to-criticism ratio of 5:1. Bc who wouldn’t want to work hard for someone who acknowledges their efforts? Ss included.

Had a casual conversation with my Ss today about the fallacy of saying you’re “bad at math” and then this article pops up on my feed. I swear my phone is listening to me! 🤔 edsurge.com/news/2017-09-1…

Getting first day jitters just thinking about getting to see my kids tomorrow! Very grateful for my team of content creators who have been working sometimes 8-12 hours a day this week to design meaningful, dynamic curriculum for our LT High School Ss. #Twenty4Seven

I really hope our first day back to school next year allows some sort of modified schedule where we get to see our 2019-20 kiddos as a class one more time, even if it’s just for 5-10 minutes, before ushering them into the next grade level! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

It’s not selfish for educators to bring up concerns about exposure to COVID-19. It’s not even self-care. It’s basic self-preservation. And that’s often motivated by the human desire to be alive for our loved ones. Saying, “I want to live” shouldn’t be a controversial stance.
