The consensus view today is that Chinese biotechs will remain a licensing shop and won't globally commercialize. Hence it may be a threat to US biotechs but not to US Pharma. IMO this is a naive view and reminiscent of what we said about electric cars, mobile, or batteries.

I'd love to see the creation of a US Biobank, where the federal gov pays for any 🇺🇸 citizen to voluntarily have their genome sequenced. Benefit to the citizen, medical science, and the healthcare system. How do we make this happen?

Most of our portcos got their NIH phase II grants. With universities under political fire -- wonder if now is a great time for independent science startups to apply for federal funding. 🤔
