My friend James Lucas got these photos of me sessioning at Movement in Boulder the other day. It was my first time climbing on commercial setting in a while and I had a great time. I’ve just been board climbing at home and it was nice to do a greater variety of movement. But

A few fun photos I took while belaying my friend Steven on Desert Gold the other day. Such a classic! Though I haven’t been crack climbing much recently and the jamming kinda hurt my hands… this is why sport climbing and bouldering are so popular…

A few terrible photos from a recent adventure up Gift of the Wind Gods (1,500ft 5.10d) on Mt Wilson. I onsight soloed it while exploring for a potential Wilson link up. I was really impressed by the quality of the climbing - it’s a beautiful route that I’m surprised doesn’t get

My friend Eddie and I recently climbed Brown Recluse (10 pitch 5.12b) on the Rainbow Wall. It was maybe the slowest route that we’ve climbed up there - somewhat friable and thought provoking and a bit scary. But actually pretty cool in its own way. I suppose it’s the one to do

I got to climb The Big Payback (13 pitch 5.13c R) with Scott Bennett up on the Rainbow Wall the other day. It was particularly meaningful because it’s the last free route on the wall that I haven’t done and I’d tried it briefly last year and basically been too scared to send the

Two books that I’ve finished this week and my current project. I had some flights for work travel and plowed through the Netflix book and the Psychology of Money - I enjoyed both of them much more than I expected. Really interesting and educational. The Smil book is my current

A few photos from climbing Dickel’s Delight (6 pitch 5.13c) with Josh in Sedona. We’re here on a bit of a family vacation and had to sample some of the amazing new multi pitches around town. This was my first foray and it did not disappoint. Amazing climbing, incredible wall.

I had the pleasure of making this fun little video climbing in Red Rock with Emil Abrahamsson and the STORROR guys. The Plumber's Crack! To be clear, I climbed it a little differently than Alex Waterhouse who posted a fast time a while back (I liebacked the bottom because it felt

This is a blatant singles ad for longtime friend Josh McCoy. He’s explicitly forbidden me from doing this on many occasions but I’m finally just ignoring his wishes and putting him out there in front of the wide internet world. He’s been one of my main climbing partners since

Here’s a fun video from Emil Abrahamsson showing a home training session after we filmed the Plumber’s Crack speed climb - basically just working out stuff and chit chatting, which sums up most gym sessions… Enjoy! youtu.be/d3iVZNjwX7c?si…

Josh and I climbed Shangri-La (5 pitch 5.12+) and it has to be one of the best sandstone routes that we’ve ever climbed. If it was twice as tall it’d be better than Moonlight Buttresss, the quality was insane. Sedona sandstone is living up to the hype… so psyched!

On one of my last days in Sedona Brent Barghahn was kind enough to take me up to All Systems Go - an awesome overhanging 5.13c finger crack. I only took a few photos of the scenery and of him top-roping up to the start of the route - such an epic position! I was feeling

I got to take my in-laws up a fun little spire in Sedona. Queen Victoria - 3 pitch 5.7 - which turned out to be a perfect outing for the team. So cool for them to still be having adventures like that together after 40 years of marriage. What a journey!

My last climbing day in Sedona I got to go out and have a full on Mission Impossible adventure - I onsight soloed Coyote Tower (5.10c 6 pitches?) and then jumped from the summit over to the main butte (!!!) and carried on up to the main summit. I don’t think I’d ever soloed a

I loved this film about Babsi and Jacopo climbing Freerider together. Babsi made the first flash of El Cap!! So impressive. I talked to them on the Valley floor the day before they set out on the wall and I thought the forecast looked bad and that their plan seemed ill conceived

I’ve spent the last month at home in Vegas projecting a hard sport route at a local sport crag (in between parenting and work travel - there’s been a lot of real life mixed in!). When I started working on the route I thought it was maybe the hardest thing that I’ve tried, but now
