The pros and cons individuals with anorexia nervosa perceive to be associated with developing #SelfCompassion are explored in Allison Kelly, Aleece Katan et al.'s paper published in the British Journal of Clinical Psychology, BPS Journals. Read it here: doi.org/10.1111/bjc.12β¦

So excited to see Allison Kelly presenting our work at the CFT conference!!

We are so incredibly lucky to have had Zindel Segal come visit us today University of Waterloo to talk about all things mindfulness!

Presented at the #cftconference23, Aleece Katan and Allison Kelly found that individuals receiving eating disorder treatment reported greater feelings of social connectedness and belonging (i.e., social safeness) following periods of increased #SelfCompassion.

At #SPSP2024, Michelle Korlacka presented findings that higher trait #SelfCompassion is related to less variability in negative affect. This suggests that self-compassion may protect against emotional dysregulation & imbalance. Aleece Katan Monica Grove Allison Kelly Jenna Gilchrist

At #UWTL2024 Allison Kelly shared preliminary findings that for-credit experiential #Mindfulness courses may promote student wellness & success. At the end of the semester, students enrolled reported less maladaptive & more adaptive functioning than students not enrolled.

So excited to have our recent commentary published in @IntJEatDisord! Allison Kelly
