My thoughts tonight are with residents in Saskatchewan’s North who have been forced from their homes and communities due to raging wildfires. So far, we are aware of evacuation orders in Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Brabant Lake, Little Bear Lake, Lower Fishing Lake East Trout

Thanks so much to University of Regina and PTRC for an incredible day out for Innovation Week. Demo of the deep earth CT scanner, a tour of new SMR test loop site, and the CETRI and Microgrid Labs. SK has so much potential energy innovation. We’ve got to focus on the future with R&D.

There are now personnel fighting wildfires in Saskatchewan from Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Quebec and the Yukon territory. Man, I love this country. 🇨🇦

“To paraphrase former #Alberta finance minister Travis Toews, the west should be leading Canada, not leaving it. Opportunity in #Saskatchewan abounds, and there has never been a better time to seize it. The ball is in #Saskatchewan’s court. It’s time for us to pick it up.”
