I brewed an American IIPA last Tuesday. It may turn out to be a barley wine depending on how my yeast does.
Did a lot today. Brewed a pale/red/moderately hopped ale. Bottled my Seattle Strong Ale. And bottled some (~24 bottles) of my Baby Beer.
Haven't tweeted in a while, that doesn't mean I haven't been brewing, though. Since last tweet, I've brewed six ales
Those six ales are as follows: Imperial Stout, Seattle Strong, two Strong Ales, an English Barley Wine, and a Belgian Specialty Ale.
Tomorrow I will be brewing my biggest beer ever. Expected OG is 1.160 with an expected ABV of 16%
I did it. OG is 1.160! It took 9 hours to brew. I boiled for over three hours. It'll be ready in 9 months.
Brewing a barley wine today with my little bro who taught me to brew. I'm still trying to come up with a good recipe. Maybe this one is it.
Doing a collaboration IPA with Burdick Brewing today
I may have found a space where I can brew and sell my beer (that is, I can get a liquor license at this space)!
I'm brewing a session pale tomorrow. Should be good for summer beer drinking.
About to drink a '97 Pike barley wine!
Brewed an English barley wine on Tuesday. I'm hoping it has a big malt body.
Bottled my American barley wine. Amazing hop aroma. I'm afraid the body won't live up to the nose. Only time will tell.
American barley wine stats: OG 1.092, FG 1.019, ABV 9.7%
I've been drinking some of my NW Tripel. It's tasting good so far. Good banana and citrus hop. It'll be even better when it's carbonated.
NW Tripel is carbing up nicely after only 10 days in the bottle. I think it's shaping out to be a great beer.
Brewed an imperial IPA on Tuesday. Used over almost 2 ounce of hops per gallon.
First ever brewing of a Seattle Strong Ale yesterday. It's a single malt (2-row pale) and single hop (plenty of citra hops) ale.
Brewing an American barley wine today. Gonna do some hop bursting at the end of the boil with cascade and citra hops.
Brewed a Belgian inspired pale ale yesterday. OG was 1.114!
