Colour Schemes in Photography My photos often have very specific toning and colour. I just put up a new video youtu.be/LMvCQPhsmj4 where I give 9 tips on how I approach colour in photography.

My first heather shot of the season. Taken last night. And shooting heather areas for more than 10 years, this is a photo that I did not have in my portfolio yet. Solar maximum is spoiling us this year.

Wide angle landscapes are awesome. But I can spend an hour just on a few square meters with my macro lens as well. I took this one earlier this week on the Dutch heather fields. I love the colour combination with the purple, reds, and warm tones of the rising sun.

Did you know it's World Photography Day today? Yes it is :) For me it's a day to look back and look at some of the photos I took through the years. Each photo brings back those memories instantly and makes me realise how fortunate I am to have photography as my full time job.

A split second captured for eternity. This is one of those photos that doesn't even look real. I've been accused of AI generation, compositing, layering etc. But sometimes you're just at the right place, at the right time to press the shutter. Taken spring 2020.

Frozen Flowers. Backstory: These are fruit trees that blossom in spring. During some nights it can freeze. This causes the flowers to break, so the fruit growers actually spray them with water. The water freezes and creates a protective layer so that the flowers survive the night

I am currently back in Kyrgyzstan. Not so much for photography, but mainly for family events :) But I did not forget the camera.
