It's not to dull the pain for everyone. It's actually the exact opposite. Only now is the global South actually industrializing in meat production. It is a luxury that was seldom eaten as often as it is. The purposeless consumption of meat is a bourgeois decadence specifically.

We need to stop talking about equality. The goal of a communist is not equality, well it is in the long term but, in the immediate term, the goal is a dictatorship of the proletariat. It's workers dominating the bourgeoisie, and making them work just as a as everybody else does.

There is often the argument of "North Korea Communism: DARK, South Korea Capitalism: Light" People refuse to zoom out and look at the bigger picture. All the areas pointed to are capitalist. Its not a question of capitalism vs socialism, its exploiter vs exploited.
