On the 289 yard par 3 at the U.S. Open, the number really doesn't matter. They're all playing the same hole and will face the same challenge. Call it par whatever you want - the object of the game doesn't change. Get the ball in the hole in as few strokes as you can.

Look for the full 'Strawberry Moon' in Tuesday night's sky. Now I want a smoothie. The moon will reach max fullness at 2:43am, WED.

I've dropped the 'weather impact alert' tags for the next couple of days as the forecast in the Coastal Bend is low confidence. Still a few showers/storms in play, just not feeling great about it. Much better rain chances to our N. Read here if you'd like: kiiitv.com/forecast

Warm and humid this TUE evening. We'll be watching to our north/west to see how storms there evolve overnight. Forecast remains unsettled Wednesday and Thursday, but pinning down timing/location of rain remains difficult with this set up. More info, here: kiiitv.com/forecast

June 10, 6:35PM - The complex of storms we'll be watching tonight is approaching Del Rio. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 2am, WED west of I-35. Forecast models are suggesting these weaken as they continue SE.

This is where I'm at on rain totals through Friday. Trend will be to observe higher amounts toward I-10 (and the northern parts of our watershed). I have Corpus Christi at half inch to an inch. Keep in mind, that range could be satisfied with a single shower or storm.

JUNE 11, 6am - A continuous line of showers and non-severe thunderstorms is moving east around 15-20 mph through the entire region. Heavy rain, lightning, and wind gusts up to around 40 mph embedded in these storms. Could be some isolated pea-sized hail, too.

Last night's storms knocked the radar in Del Rio offline. That'll make an already difficult forecast evening more challenging because we'll be 'flying blind' with any storms that develop out west tonight.

We are anticipating another round of showers and storms to move into the KIII viewing area from the north during the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning. Like this morning, some storms could be stronger, producing gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rain. kiiitv.com/article/weathe…

Widely scattered showers or storms in play Thursday. Best shot in Corpus Christi will be in the morning, then sliding inland in the afternoon. I have coverage at around 30%, so not all get rain. Highs in the mid to low 90s with otherwise partly cloudy skies.

A few decaying sea-breeze showers early this Thursday evening, then it's quiet with passing clouds and temps near 80° by midnight. We have both Saharan Dust & rain in play (at the same time) this weekend/early next week. Local forecast insight, here: kiiitv.com/forecast

The National Hurricane Center is now flagging a tropical wave in the W Caribbean for a low chance of tropical development in the Bay of Campeche over the next 7 days. This is the same feature we were talking about in our broadcasts this evening. kiiitv.com/article/weathe…
