See you later Dolf DeJong! Leading the way in health and safety since 2012 at Vancouver Aquarium. But for real, we’ll miss you!
Such an interesting article on a #salamander breeding program led by nuns in Mexico. GG first found out about the convent from an article we wrote for Animal Conservation using data from Amphibian Ark. Very cool.
I’m giving a public talk at the Vancouver Aquarium tonight on amphibian declines and the role of zoos and aquaria in their conservation. Join in person Vancouver Aquarium or watch via livestream! education.ocean.org/oceanmatters/c…
Tonight’s #OceanMatters talk from Simon Fraser University grad Alannah Biega is about to begin! Watch the livestream to learn about the devastating decline in amphibian numbers and what zoos and aquariums are doing: youtube.com/vancouveraquar…
Lots of updates from the Ocean Wise Coastal Ocean Research Institute this year! Brittany Visona gives an update on photogrammetry and genetic killer whale research #BCMMS26
Today, staff from Vancouver Aquarium, Ocean Wise and #ShorelineCleanup got together for a cleanup in Stanley Park! Winter brings a lull in shoreline recreation so the litter we collected was nearly all foam, small plastics and fishing debris! (Except an entire outfit worth of clothing!)
Tremendously sadden by the loss of these two bright and passionate youth. My thoughts are with their loved ones, friends, and all of their Ocean Wise #OceanBridge family
The map I developed while working with Shoreline Cleanup is featured as Esri Canada’s App of the Month! Check it out to see how individual cleanups are making a big difference across Canada! You can even plan your own for #WorldOceansDay2019 resources.esri.ca/news-and-updat…
