There is a runoff for SBC president. The election for the runoff is imminent. The three candidates for the runoff vote are David Allen, Dan Spencer and Clint Pressley.

A motion to abolish the ERLC just failed. It was hard to tell from my perspective how divided the vote was, but apparently it was very obvious from the chair. #SBC24

SBC Resolution 6 (On IVF) is not what you’re reading in the media. Read it for yourself. It’s compassionate toward infertile couples, and clearly declares the value of every child regardless of how they were conceived. (1)

I understand the desire for statements like this to be true, but it is absolutely unbiblical. It is a direct contradiction of John 14:6. It is magnified because of who said it, but it’s still heresy.

If you don’t want church to feel routine this weekend, then approach it differently. 1-Pray before you go. 2-Worship in the car on the way. 3-Get there early. 4-Invite someone. 5-Bring your Bible. 6-Take notes. 7-Talk to people. 8-Sing loudly. 9-Serve. 10-Live out the sermon.

I am stunned and heartbroken at the news of Charlie Kirk being shot and killed. He was a brother in Christ and we are praying for his beautiful family. Our world is broken. We need healing that only Jesus can bring.
