Happy #WomenInRobotics day! Let's celebrate all the amazing women who are transforming the world with robotics. I've been lucky to chat to so many of them on this podcast. womeninroboticz 🐳 #ShineALight

Happy times at the excellent DARS Symposium in New York this week! Congratulations to Simon Jones for his exciting work on Distributed Spatial Awareness for Swarms, which won Best Paper Award! He's been working on this for a while, building on Andrew Davison's excellent work on GBP.

V unhappy with Virgin Media ❤️. My blueyonder email account stopped working late last night. Spent the whole morning trying to restore it, to no avail. My heart sinks at the prospect of having to work thru 100s of family, subs, travel apps, retailers etc, to change my email address.

How do we get large numbers of robots to work together as a team? Sabine Hauert will illustrate the progress in swarm hardware and AI that will build 'swarms for people', in applications like nanomedicine and environmental monitoring. Get your tickets ⬇️ rigb.org/whats-on/engin…

This issue 'the road forward with swarm systems', includes a paper "On the ethical governance of swarm robotic systems in the real world". I was lucky enough to co-author on with Alan Winfield 💙 , Sabine Hauert #JonathanIves and it adds to our work on nanoswarm cancer treatment!
