UTSA can’t benefit on a successful hit and run with two outs and they leave ‘Runners on the corners. Still trail by one. UCLA 1 UTSA 0 E | 4

UCLA uses small ball and their dangerous lineup to add to their lead. Cholowsky tries to steal a bag between batters and Myles and McClure get him at 3rd. Owens will enter one on first. UCLA 2 UTSA 0 T | 5

Owens gets a 5-3 putout to end the inning. A small deficit for UTSA but they have just two runs through 13 innings of Baseball this weekend. UCLA 2 UTSA 0 M | 5

Huge diving catch by Mason Lytle with the bases loaded and two outs in the 7th. May very well have kept this game a game. Owens also had a big strikeout against Cholowsky working back from 3-0. UCLA 2 UTSA 0 M | 7

Through 16 innings, UCLA has played just good, clean, fundamental Baseball in the field. Elimination game still within reach. UCLA 2 UTSA 0 E | 7

Crazy sequence to start the 8th UCLA ropes one that McClure can’t come up with. Then they send one 108 MPH that hits off Owens’ elbow. Owens staying in for now. UCLA 3 UTSA 0 T | 8

Owens unable to continue after one pitch. If that’s it for Braylon Owens in a Roadrunner uniform, THANK YOU for a wonderful season and for four years at UTSA.

Braylon was a freshman on the 2022 CUSA tournament run. Battled adversity and up and down outings his Sophomore and Junior season at UTSA. Could have left, but stayed. Has played a big part in this magical season for UTSA with big moments. Gotta tip your 🧢 to him!

The Roadrunners will need at least four runs in the bottom of the ninth to extend their season. They’ve been held to two runs across 17 innings. UCLA 4 UTSA 0 E | 8

UTSA falls to UCLA in the Los Angeles Super Regionals. Final score 7-0. That will do it on a magical season for UTSA BSB. Final record 47-15. A lot of fun memories this year that we’ll remember for a long time. Thanks for always battling boys! Until next year! Birds Up!!

Congrats to UCLA on getting back to Omaha. With their infield defense, some key offensive pieces and their bullpen they should make some noise next week. Also kudos to Head Coach, John Savage. Made sure that his guys went and shook hands with UTSA after the game.

UTSA Baseball ⚾️ super regional didn’t turn out the way we’d hoped… however, what a historic run. Thank you for the experience. There’s guys in this picture of former players I haven’t seen in 20 years! #BirdsUp

While I think they made the right call overturning the initial call in the Murray St/Duke game, I can’t stand the “you just can’t make that call in that moment” philosophy. Regardless of the situation, regardless the moment, rules are rules. They don’t change with the moment.
