Second railtour in a few days yesterday - The Tinsley Tugger. A superb tour, featuring loads of freight only lines, albeit a tour sadly caught up in a tragic incident at Stevenage. Well done UK Railtours for a great tour, and for handling the circumstances so well last night.

A view very soon to be no more. The boiler hall and iconic twin chimneys of SSE - A Better World of Energy’s closed Ferrybridge ‘C’ Power Station, viewed from Windsor Drive. They’re to be demolished tomorrow morning. #ferrybridgepowerstation #ferrybridge

The N gauge project that’s been in my bio for a couple of years now… I’ve made no public updates on it for some time, however there’s been substantial work behind the scenes to prep the baseboards on which it’ll be built- and I’m delighted to say we have lift off! #TMRGUK

The demolition of the chimney and remaining boiler hall at Eggborough Power Station this morning - a final set of explosions at 10am bringing to an end 55 years of power generating history on the site.

Seven up on 6X59 today as Freightliner moved four Class 59s (59104/59202/59203/59204) to Crewe Basford Hall for Christmas maintenance due to the closure of the Whatley branch… very rare territory for the old sheds nowadays! Seen at Cheddington, 24.12.22

A rare tweet/post from me - this time caused by the reappearance and restored functionality of GBRf’s long-term demic 59003… the beast lives!

A very rare move for NRM diesels 40122 and 31018 - especially the latter - this morning, with the pair escorted to Shildon for display there… WCR 37676 and 47746 provided the power, and LMS BTK 5987 was thrown in for good measure. Seen at York - 27/2/24
