On CBS Sunday Morning ๐ this Sunday, 4.23, 9 am, I will give a commentary following up on my Opinion in the NY Times : nyti.ms/3N4mChS
I just viewed Amy Silverstein, author beautiful video on CBS Sunday Morning ๐ Her commentary was so eloquent, balanced, and honest. I hope the U.S. FDA American Society of Transplantation (AST) were listening because our collective patient voice will no longer be silent. Thank you Amy Silverstein, author for your advocacy
My request is that all members of the #transplanttwitter community view Amy Silverstein, author balanced discussion on gratitude + the need for #innovation in #transplantation Thank you Amy Silverstein, author
@mhm5443 Amy Silverstein, author theyโre not โmuch better than before.โ what drugs are you referring to specifically, the improved ones? she wrote this for the benefit of all transplant patients, to advocate for a better quality of life for us. nothing about this is โwhinyโ or incompatible with gratitude.
Amy Silverstein, author Amy, The dialogue and awareness you have stoked is just another gift you have bestowed upon us. Youโre an important writer and a remarkable person. โค๏ธ Lizzieโs little sister.
@mhm5443 Amy Silverstein, author It's this "be thankful" attitude that stifles improvement. In no other patient population would such side effects be tolerated. It's possible to be both grateful and still advocate for improvement.
I am so grateful to Amy Silverstein, author for what she has done. She has shined a beam of light onto the rot which has creeped into our field. I promise to try and do better for her.
