Finished the base for my Skyraider flying off the USS Intrepid in 1966.

On 9 Oct 1966, near Hanoi, Vietnam, LTJG Patton in his A-1H Skyraider got an air-to-air kill on a North Vietnamese MIG-17. One of two such kills ever recorded in the propeller-driven A-1.
