Venus & Kritika star cluster, this evening shot from Palchan, Manali. What is not so prominent, and hardly noticed elsewhere too - the conjunction of Venus & Uranus. On magnifying the original image, Uranus can be seen just to the left of bright Venus.

Attended the fantastic Hanle Dark Sky Reserve Star Party long with Neelam. Three days of several large telescopes and Bortle 1 dark skies. Our 16-inch Aperture Telescope, a Dobsonian performed beautifully, showed us many deep sky objects in great detail and brightness.

These blinding lights on NH48 gurgaon shine directly into drivers eyes. Who is installing these lights and making the highway dangerous to drive on?
