In our store, near the seed bins, we have a box to collect cash and “wishlist” donations for CWRS, AIWC and Ellis Bird Farm. From now until December your donations will go to: Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation - for their wish list please visit aiwc.ca

Today we learned how to go owling and all about great horned owl adaptations - including regurgitating pellets. We got our hands on some and found lots of rodents and a bigger mystery animal inside! We hope Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation can help us identify the mystery bones during our Zoom next week!

@DruhFarrell Congratulations!!!! In times of COVID, Calgary Public Library grew further than city borders. In partnership with Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation they brought learning online. Learn more here: aiwc.ca/wp-content/upl…

#Gratitude: Most years, my sisters & I exchange gifts at #Christmas. But we all said we didn't need anything, so we decided to give to charities that mean something to us. The causes ranged, with mine being Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation & AARCS - Rescue 🐾. Thanks for all you do! #BetterTheWorld

New year, new #CitizenScience challenge! What do you know about urban wildlife? Our friend, Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, made a great video about wildlife living among us and problems they face on a daily bases! Check it out here: buff.ly/2XbRBxz #YYCYoungCitizenScientists

Many migratory birds use light for navigation and can accidentally fly into lit up skyscrapers by mistake. Join us tomorrow to learn more as we're joined by Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation for a social media take over! 2/2

Seagulls always live by the sea, right? Wrong! The gulls that live in our towns and cities have probably never seen the ocean, relying instead on rivers, lakes and even human food waste for food. Learn more about #urbanwildlife tomorrow when we're joined by Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation!

The Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation has a 50/50 fundraiser, tickets available until March 15: aiwc.shop Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation

It's #WildlifeWednesday. We had a baby shorebird brought in needing help. After contacting Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, we found out that he is an American avocet & will look like the picture below when he's full grown! If you find a wild animal in distress you can call us or contact AIWC.

Please consider donating a few dollars to the incredible organization Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation during their Workout for Wildlife campaign! I'll be moving around all summer for it. ☺️ #wildlife #alberta workoutforwildlife.ca/cat-wagner

Love this! Love it even more to see that my friends at Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation in Alberta went to check on the bat and will make sure it gets any necessary medical or rehab! 🦇
