Less than a week before City Council will decide on whether or not to fund Cop City, Atlanta police have arrested three first amendment activists they believe are associated with the Atlanta Solidarity Fund. They raided their home, taking phones and laptops.

This is not an attack on some Atlanta activists. This is an attack on bail funds in general.

A bone-chilling development in Atlanta just now: heavily militarized police just arrested bail support and legal defense workers who are providing charitable support to protestors arrested for opposing CopCity in Atlanta. Police are calling "financial crimes."

The Atlanta Pig Department arrested three people working with Atlanta Solidarity Fund , an organization responsible for much needed bail support and legal defense for protesters exercising their first amendment rights. This attack on the solidarity fund is an attack on the whole movement.

THREAD. I want to highlight two things about the ongoing authoritarian repression in Georgia. First, many mainstream Democrats in Atlanta have been either silent about or complicit in what is happening. Historically, this has been an essential feature of the rise of fascism.
