It is pretending that vicarious trauma gives us a leg to stand on for our claims of oppression whilst kids are having their limbs blown off and others are enslaved. If anti-blackness is the charge then it cannot be leveraged by those of us in the imperial core who have failed

The reality is whilst we have ancestral, somatic and genealogical claims to anti-blackness we are the empires children now. We are cushioned by our passports. We done litttle to further black liberation to claim to the revolutionary tendency of blackness until we actively do

Those oppressed in the neo-colonies and settler colonies , the black folk, the Indigenous folk, Arab, Asian and all others have more in common with each other. We aren’t the vanguard they are. I used to say we diasporans live in the belly of the beast but we’re a part of it the

Those of us in the imperial core have no morality to stand on. If you require perfection from victims of genocide then you were never seriously on the side of liberation. You are an opp were always going to be one and just needed an excuse.
