Chemmani is a crematorium, not a burial site—which means the skeletons found there do not belong. It must be thoroughly investigated. The Government of Sri Lanka has a responsibility to: - preserve and protect the site; - fund the excavation; and - ensure there is no foul play.

Will OMP Sri Lanka be issuing a statement regarding e exploratory excavation of e human burial pit at e Chemmani Siddhupathi Hindu Cemetery? This falls under your mandate, doesn’t it? Surely, this warrants more urgency than file management training programmes—don’t you think?
