how thrilled I am to have this launched by Dean Browne. Endless thanks to John, Lisa, and Tríona at Doire Press , and to Vincent and all at Éigse Michael Hartnett . To send it off from Hartnett country means the world.

This long to decide that we're people, and still, only to the extent that they deem necessary and appropriate. The concept of shame hasn't once entered a single one of their minds . I'm actually physically shaking with the rage and humiliation of it all.

Really stark research. Hopefully people will be more aware now the dangers that enshrining care into the Constitution could have created without input from Disabled people. Well done to Dr Aoife Price on this piece of work 🤍 thejournal.ie/womens-aid-rep…

It’s ableist for generally healthy/abled people to decide what chronically ill/disabled people are physically able to do. You do NOT get to decide our physical capabilities. We don’t even get to decide. But we figure them out and respect them and so should you.

Everyone needs to read this collection (one of my very favourite reads of the year) as a matter of urgency. This is not a request xo

The train driver was like “ah, it’s just too full today, I don’t know how to fit you on” (as, what I assume was, a preface to denying me access) and I’m actually livid. Wheelchair spots are for wheelchair-users, they’re not just extra standing room or a place for bags and cases.
