A recurring theme for discussion that has come up throughout the #Museums2024 sessions I've attended is how to make the workforce more accessible. It's incredibly important that the sector does more to become accessible to traditionally marginalised groups as workers & visitors.

It was really lovely to finally meet Emily in person at #Museums2024! Speaking to (and with) so many people about neurodivergence within museums (both visitors and the workforce) was a really wonderful highlight from this year's conference. I can't wait to continue the convos!

I really recommend visiting this exhibition if you can get to Tolbooth in Stirling. "Autism Through an Autistic Lens" is a powerful exhibition produced by & with #ActuallyAutistic people. The messages communicated through the photos, zines & labels are simply amazing.

Really important campaigning by the Glasgow University SRC this week. Accessibility on University of Glasgow needs to be improved. Barriers range from the physical environment being inaccessible to the gaps in digital access. I would love to see this campaign lead to positive change for everyone.

It's been an incredibly busy period, after an incredibly full-on year, and as I approach the end of the working year of 2024 - I just wanted to reach out on here and say thank you again for all the support, interest in my research & encouragement. I couldn't have done it alone.

Today's Monday Joys ✨️ - getting everything ready for hosting my family for Christmas - making slow progress on my corrections - finishing the stained glass piece for my parents' Xmas present (especially as I made a mistake I thought wouldn't be fixable) - it's holiday time! 🎄
