#Wingfoil diary. Session 3 @ LRYC - Got flying for the first time. 30 seconds or so on port tack. Enough to steer the board a bit and trim a little before losing balance in a gust. fcast of 20/30kts. 12/15 on the water. Need to go downwind more for takeoff.

#wingfoil diary. Session 5 @ LRYC - Hi GM 👋! It's all coming together now! Good long controlled flights on port. Stbd wobbly but getting there! Kept upwind and recovered from launch spot 🎉 Fcast 18/30kts. 5/20 otw. Getting better at managing lulls and gusts. Balance++. Stoked😎

#wingfoil diary. #6 @ LRYC -Tried Waterspeed App 👍! Don't have a fancy watch, just stuck my phone in my wetsuit sleeve. Fcast 12/17kts. Lulls of ~0 otw. Huge progress. Controlled foil on both tacks. Next up: Gybes. Dying for an opportunity to bear off downwind for a bit.

#wingfoil diary. #7 @ LRYC - new top speed of 16.1kts immediately followed by rapid unplanned deceleration. 🤕😅 steady breeze makes everything 100x easier. Faster and steadier standing up and getting on foil. Need to practice gybes on grass. No real progress there.
