Inflection points are not turning points. As you travel along a curve, an inflection point is imperceptible. It's a change in the sign of the 2nd derivative, not the 1st.

I am feeling strangely hopeful that 2024 is an inflection point.

I continue to think the greatest risk of A(S|G)I is not that it will actually be achieved, but the dream of it being achieved.

Magic isn't real, but the dream of magic is real and leads to real addiction, real exploitation, and violation of the dignity of persons and creation.
