In very simple terms, PERIOD POVERTY means a girl using rags, tissue paper, or old clothes, because she can’t afford pads during menstruation. It means missed school, low self-esteem, infections, and lost opportunities. Beyond a “girl issue.” This is a human rights issue.

Pads are not perfume. They are not jewelry. They are not a luxury. They are essential to life, dignity, and public health. Taxing sanitary pads is gender discrimination in plain sight. We say NO MORE.✊🏽 Let’s make pads tax-free for all 👭 to reduce cost. #Taxfreepadcmr
