Last year i visited a grower using FLiPPER in celery, so today I couldn’t resist trying the Cambridge ice cream version! I wasn’t entirely convinced on the flavour…but maybe on a hot day that fresh burst of mouthwatering celery would be just right??

All this week I am in the Netherlands, hosted by Bayer Crop Science NL as we visit growers and discuss how they are getting the best out of #FLiPPER So far we have seen growers of ornamentals and pot plants which are delivered across Europe!

With a contact acting product like #FLiPPER application technology is key. With declining availability of systemic products, thinking in this way is important for the future. Like this gerbera grower is doing!

Today is a flowerbulb day, visiting a #FLiPPER trial with at Vertify with Bayer Crop Science NL as control of tulip gall mite is being investigated and looking very positive!

This morning has been all about pears, looking at sprayer technology and admiring this grower’s bee hotels. The season has been much slower to start than last year, but the weather brightens up next week and the blossom is coming soon.
