🚨🏴 Scotland’s cultural landscape is at risk of collapse, due to continued inaction and backtracking from the Scottish Government. Please join me in signing the Campaign for the Arts petition to urge ministers to deliver on their arts funding pledges now. campaignforthearts.org/petitions/scot…
Great news: STV have just let me know that they've found & duplicated the unedited interview I did with Alasdair Gray back in 1994, plus the footage we shot of the theatre adaptation of Lanark. I'll be donating it to the The Alasdair Gray Archive. STV once made so much great arts TV.
Pls share! Final chapter in our virtual tour of AGA looks at the ledger, the ❤️ of our collection! Hear SGSAH funded CDA student Lauren Forde discuss her research & Chitra Ramaswamy’s creative response to it via her Creative Commission with us & Creative Writing at Strathclyde in 2023, link in bio ☝️
We are shocked & deeply concerned about Creative Scotland closure of its Open Fund for Individuals due to Scottish Government’s inability to confirm the £6.6m budget for the current financial year. We stand in solidarity with all creatives impacted. Link in bio to Campaign for the Arts petition.
Very proud of our placement student Holly Rennie Brown whose degree show at MFA Curating from DJCAD, UoD is now open! With a focus on queer archives & oral histories they have created an interactive installation that questions who gets to have an archive & how others can shape them

*Appreciation Post* We’ve been working hard to create an organisation that’s reflective of Alasdair and is non hierarchical… a big part of this is having a facilitative board. Huge thanks to them all 🙏 Monica Callaghan Judit Bodor Laura Frood, Dougie Smith & Andy Bell

We’re so excited to be collaborating with The Alasdair Gray Archive to offer two great opportunities for a researcher and a creative to work on a project about Alasdair and Eddie Researcher call-out to be announced on Monday – watch this space!
Our Custodian Sorcha Dallas Gray is looking forward to delivering a talk with Outwith Festival on #AlasdairGray’s murals at Abbot House tonight. She will be discussing a selection of his existing and lost murals including the one at Abbot House made in 1994.
