This was excellent. A docufiction reflexive of its faculties for framing sets of political orientations that it can in no precise manner organize holistically, and therefore seeks to contend with the relationship it has to that representation. A beautiful, lucid work.

May his memory be a blessing. His capacity to pinpoint the development of Suburban shadows as a faculty in the moral decay of state violence, and his unwavering dialectic of hope and despair in the face of it all, is what has touched me the most in my relationship to his art.

Tonsler Park was lovely. The discord that sound offers in the work, its vacillating temporal draw, imbues it with a tenuous quality: as though in each moment of the duration, we’re losing some grasp onto history.
