I celebrated this girl today. She has worked incredibly hard this school year. From the outside looking in, it might look like baby steps to most. She has made PROGRESS! She has got dreams and she is on fire to make them come true. I’m so thankful to walk alongside her. 💜✨💜

The number of times I have listened to this TedTalk is too high to count.

I have been in my head the last few days and Rita popped up in a timely fashion on my feed. Just in case you needed the reminder like I did, take 3 minutes to listen.

The number of days to the finish line of this school year are important as TEACHERS continue to make a difference for ALL students. Remember that as students smell summer and struggle more than normal to be engaged.

This is something to hold on to in the stretch to the finish line this school year.

Perspective!

My mindset needs to shift…..I only have a limited number of days to make a difference until summer.

In order to get to the cortex to be able to reason with a young person,you need to be connected in some way relationally. Reasoning never works in the lower density of the brain. It is important for educators to understand the biological organisation of brain development.🧠🌱

We have no right to call ourselves professionals if we are not able to look beneath the surface of their unmet need.
