A year ago today I left my school of 19 years and started a job search while I healed my body and mind from the stress and mental abuse of the job I was forced into. I went from planning to teach for 40+ years to not being sure I ever wanted to step inside a classroom again.

I left something I need tomorrow for prom at school... Do I go now to get it or wait until I go decorate the venue in the morning? It'll add at least 15 minutes to my time, and I already live 20 minutes from the venue. I'm exhausted thinking about the logistics. 😴

I so very much want to take a nap, but I need to grade papers, work on lessons, and do prom stuff.

When people tell me it must be so nice to have summers off and long breaks during the year, I really want to punch them in the face.
