Who’s going to tell him that they’d be eligible for private school vouchers under HB3?

Texas has roughly 5.5 million students. Vouchers will impact 100,000 tops. That is 0.02% of the student population. Don’t for a second believe vouchers will make Texas 1st in education. Funding public schools adequately is the way to be exceptional, not catering to an elite few.

All of these kids have parents who have made a school choice. He’s going to private schools and telling them they deserve our tax money to offset tuition dollars they are already paying. Visit a public school. What about the other 99% of the kids in the state? Fund them first.

Greg Abbott Vouchers, at their best, can only support 0.02% of the student population in Texas. If all kids deserve better, focus on doing better for the 99.98% rather than the elite few. I don’t want my tax money subsidizing choices that have already been made.
