On Wednesday 27th March, Burnley FC in the Community, Building Bridges in Burnley and Burnley FC invited members of the community, Islamic Relief UK, community leaders, academy players, and club staff, to come together for our second Community Iftar at Turf Moor.

We recently hosted our second community Iftar with Burnley FC in the Community and Building Bridges in Burnley, which saw the community come together to celebrate Ramadan ☪️

'Why are we still selling weapons to Israel?'

Kevin Maguire on ITV’s GMB said that the 'mass slaughter of Palestinians and aid workers is a war crime' and called on the UK to change its policy towards Israel.

British diplomat, Vincent Fean, told LBC that he believes the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office should “heed legal advice” & “suspend arms delivers to Israel”, as continuing to supply arms could make the UK complicit in “indiscriminate killing”.

Some children from St Peter's Church of England School, Burnley were the among the first to meet the new Bishop of Burnley, the Rev. Dr Joe Kennedy at the Burnley Faith Centre last week.

Mrs Johnston and Mrs Healey have had a lovely evening Burnley FC in the Community at the Community Iftar. It was lovely to catch up with past and present pupils. There was a beautiful sense of community. #brilliantburnley Afrasiab Anwar MBE 💙 Thankyou for the invite.

Year 2 had a wonderful time visiting the Ghausia Mosque in Burnley yesterday. We learnt lots about Islam and other religions. 🕌
