AFCC gathered with staff and community members on the land to pick sage. This land based teaching provided traditional knowledge about how to gather sage on mother earth. The sage harvest will be shared with community members for traditional ceremonial practices and healing.

Yesterdays Grand Entry at the first ever 2-Spirit Powwow, held in Edmonton. Many thanks to the elders for their wisdom, the drummers and singers for their song and the dancers for sharing their talents.

A huge thank you to the Red Deer Native Friendship Centre and their amazing staff for showing me around their 2-Spirit program and taking me to my first powwow. It just so happened to be the first 2-Spirit Powwow in Alberta! We at AFCC strive to make everyone feel seen.
