(Pt.1): My heart is BEAMING today! 💗 No matter where I go in my educator journey, I have always carried my former students with me. The community we built in our classroom (no matter what year we were together) has always paved the path for my future classrooms.

Our newcomer EB students from San Marcos High School enjoyed our visit to the UTSA UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures Institute. I love the message one tour guide gave us. She said that no matter where we come from or where we end up at, we should never abandon our culture. We carry (& share) our culture.

Our cherished ESL teacher & EB community advocate, Norma Ybarra, hosted another special ESL Family Engagment night. Our families were welcomed, fed, given valuable information on Spring events, & walked away with lots of donated books and prizes! San Marcos High School GEAR UP_ SMCISD
