New York City paid McKinsey $27.5 million to reduce violence in Rikers Island. McKinsey claimed its changes cut violence by 50%. But McKinsey stacked those units with the least violent inmates. Taking this into account, violence actually rose 50%. propublica.org/article/new-yo…
