It's an unfortunate truth that many nonprofits don't take a company's CSR efforts seriously. Where can CSR go from here? My final thoughts from the @Benevity Social Impact Show. #corporatephilanthropy #nonprofits #socialimpact #CSR #ESG #corporatecitizenship

Question for Fidelity Investments regarding The Invest In My Education program. Did the @uncf receive a transfer of $190 million to administer The Fidelity Scholars program? I heard it supports 50,000 students over 5 years only. Why is there a time limit?

Taking care of your employees, financially, should also be a core tenet of #socialimpact and #corporatesocialresponsibility. In fact, a company's efforts should start internally and then extend outward into the community. #csr

Who does #CSR right? India. Companies are required to pay 2% net profit to CSR. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about the most valuable way a company can support communities then I don't know what will. More #corporatephilanthropy, less #employeeengagement.

Do #nonprofits have to say thank you for any gift they receive? Are they allowed to be insulted when faced with a corporate partnership with a company that has millions or billions in revenue...and all they're receiving are volunteers and small grants? #CSR

10% of Toast workforce laid off; share buybacks begun. It's a bad look for an org that has been singled out for its commitment to #CSR. Taking care of your employees should also be a core tenet of #csr. A company's efforts should start internally and then extend outward.

Q for malialazu: How can one reconcile the good companies are doing thru #CSR and #DEI with the growing layoffs and insecure employment these very same companies are creating? Is the former a ruse and we’re falling for it?

Dear #CSR professionals, You don’t need employees to create #SocialImpact. You get a fat tax deduction for giving money. #Nonprofits would prefer cash over volunteers. More #corporatePhilanthropy, less #EmployeeEngagement.

The National Philanthropic Trust, a national #DAF sponsor, publishes an annual report on donor-advised funds, used by analysts and journalists to report on the field. They're the single source of truth? Where's the oversight? Thank you for the insight, Institute for Policy Studies.

#CSR helps with employee retention, attraction and productivity, but so does Employee Stock Ownership Plans (#ESOP). Simply put, employee ownership. Which option a company chooses says a lot about their willingness to commit meaningfully to their workforce development.
