We’ve officially made it to Jamaica. Now Category 3 Hurricane Melissa looms to our southeast, the satellite evolution over the last 12 hours is unbelievable. This is going to be one for the record books. #Melissa

As textbook as it gets...Category 5 Hurricane Melissa continues to impress in the Caribbean, now packing max sustained winds of 160 mph (perhaps even higher). A sharp turn to the north is expected today, which will take it right over the western half of Jamaica tomorrow morning
