If you're feeling the January blues this morning, I hope this raises a smile... ...Jerry in Eden's high chair, hoping for some breakfast. 🤣

This may not end well: we could end up with "Archie McBishopface" if the public is invited to "suggest a name" for the next Archbishop.

Google pics reminds me that 10 yrs ago today was a landmark day for me & others living with diabetes: the first gathering of #GBDoc in Nottingham - many meeting other #pwd socially for the first time. So much has changed, but it remains a life-changing day for me & many others.

I'm proud to be part of the team that brings #TAD2025 to Liverpool once again. Real people, real stories, real friendship, in a wonderful venue. We hope that the summer date will suit many. Do come and join us.

Late night duty for me doing tidy-up and locking up at what must be one of the country's finest-looking polling stations - St Michael's Parish Church, Kirkham To see the wheels of democracy turning is always reassuring. #LocalElections2025

My 6 years as a member, 2 of them as Chair, of Diabetes UK's lived experience group came to an end yesterday with an enjoyable & constructive meeting, with a good number of new members joining the group. I hand on to my successors Allan & Liva (pic below) with confidence #GBDoc

An overnight North Sea crossing to start my trip with Rosanagh Long to Bad Brückenau to meet with Kirkham Twinning friends. I'll never tire of watching the fabulous teamwork of the serving staff in the P&O Ferries restaurant. Making a complex job look simple. 👏👏👏

The wonderful building-block structure of the German Language creates words which explain complex concepts with impeccable logic. It is therefore a particular pleasure to be in Germany on this day they call #christihimmelfahrt Yes, it's "Christ's Heaven Trip" day.👌

A lot has changed over the dozen or so years of an identifiable #GBDoc community, but the core values of mutual support and a common burden shared is very much felt by all who attend #TADtalk The #T1D community is very much alive and well.

A lovely gathering of Kirkham Twinning friends for a garden party at our home, under perfect summer skies. A pleasure to see everyone enjoying our garden & field then heading home laden with foraged blackberries and plums Thanks to all who attended, raising much needed £££ for KTA
