In my second meet of the season, I ran the 4x800 meter relay before the open 800 meter race. For my next meet next Saturday, I will be focusing primarily on finishing strong in the last 200 meters of the open 800.

I set a 4x800 meet record and placed 5th in the state. I wanted to run the open 800m to get 1st place since I was ranked 1st for the meet, but my coach asked me to save energy for the 4x400. Instead, he put me in the 400m hurdles, and unfortunately, I face-planted and got 5th.

I ran the 400-meter dash, my first race in this event since March 9th, 2024, and I also ran in Lane 1.

Got 2nd at districts I didn’t PR, but I’m grateful. Coming into this season, my personal best was a 53.57 from sophomore year. Now I’m a senior, and I’ve come a long way.
