There is a direct link between the RCMP raids at #Wetsuweten being "acceptable" to Canadians and Canada rushing reconciliation + leaving the truth behind. Since the TRC, Canada has shown over and over again that it is not interested in confronting the truth about colonialism.

I can’t believe this needs saying, but here we are. #ShutDownCanada and solidarity blockades and occupations are not “the problem,” they are a response to the problem: Canada’s ongoing commitment to colonialism and its failure to work nation-to-nation with Indigenous peoples.

I know it's hard to focus on anything but the current pandemic, but here's a reminder that CGL and the RCMP are continuing their work in unceded #Wetsuweten territory while everyone is distracted with #COVID19. Social distancing doesn't mean putting our calls for justice on hold.
