1/3 Shopify is hosting a web shop selling antisemitic, Islamophobic, racist or otherwise prejudiced merchandise. Antisemitic items are featured prominently on the site, including a parody of the Jaws movie poster that evokes hateful tropes about Jews being greedy. 🧵

2/3 Another listing features a shirt called “Here comes the airplane” — a blatant reference to the antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jews or Israel were behind 9/11. Other items exploit racism for financial gain and use anti-Black slurs.

3/3 We noted that Shopify recently updated its policies to prohibit the sale of merchandise that spreads hate. If they're serious about implementing this policy and keeping their platform safe from hate, we urge them to investigate and enforce it against items like these.
