It was very educational to learn about how UNESCO supports education, culture, science and heritage worldwide.

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Johnston Busingye, High Commissioner of Rwanda to the UK, Busingye Johnston. It was inspiring to learn about Rwanda’s remarkable progress in promoting unity, reconciliation and sustainable development. 🇷🇼

A pleasure to host councillors & some charities at Mubarak Mosque today. Guests included cllrs from Rushmoor Council, CEO of Victoria's Promise & Jodie & Luke from Y+ charity. We toured the grounds, saw the Mosque & saw community members getting ready for Friday prayers.

Welcomed Cllrs Andy Tree & Emily Young to Mubarak Mosque. We toured the site, had lunch & shared thoughts on peace, unity & better public service.

Met Longmoor Police in Bordon this evening to discuss safety & learn about the policing system in our local areas. Report crimes: 999 for emergencies, 101 for non-urgent info.

This evening I joined Waverley Borough Council, Surrey for their Council meeting, at the kind invitation of Mayor Cllr Rivers. I opened by reciting the first chapter of the Holy Qur’an & sharing a short reflection on its significance. Muslims recite this chapter ~32 times daily across the world.

Dr Singh serves as Permanent Delegate to UNESCO and has led key delegations promoting Guyana’s growth in energy, agriculture, and infrastructure.

It was a pleasure to welcome Cllr Paige (Mayor of Petersfield), Cllr Hulbert, & Marcus McQuilton from Farnham Herald to Mubarak Mosque today. We spoke about the Beacon of Peace charity walk — raising £100,000s each year for local charities (a few of them held in Petersfield).

I was honoured to attend and say a few words at the opening of the new extension at Woodlarks Care Home in Tilford today. It was wonderful to celebrate this achievement with residents, staff, and volunteers.

This morning with His Excellency Stefan Gullgren, Sweden’s Ambassador to the UK. 🇸🇪🇬🇧 We had a very constructive conversation, & I was especially delighted to hear from him about Sweden’s history, society and values, as well as the strong ties between our two countries. #Sweden

Last week, the High Commissioner of Guyana visited Mubarak Mosque in Tilford, Farnham. We toured the mosque, had lunch, observed prayers, & the HC was delighted at being granted an audience with His Holiness, the worldwide spiritual head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
