Records in the summer are irrelevant. Competed against two defending state champs, region champs, multiple sweet sixteen teams, and an elite eight team or two. #ironsharpensiron

Unpopular opinion. Just went 0-4 GBCA Girls Live Event and it was GREAT for us. Played 4A final four, 5A elite eight, 7A sweet sixteen and 7A elite eight. Competed with all four of them and got better. Best part, we’ll be 0-0 in November just like the teams posting 27-0 summer records!

Last day of summer yesterday. Played 18 “games” along with some controlled practices. 2 defending state champs, 7 final fours, 5 elite eights. Multiple other state playoff qual from multiple classifications. If we kept score, we were prob under .500. Bet we aren’t in February…

The objective of sports is to win, but the purpose of sports is to build character. All the athletic success in the world means nothing if it makes you worse as a person.

PLAYERS: Your body language never whispers. It screams. It shows others what kind of attitude, energy, toughness, focus, unselfishness, and maturity you possess. Bring positive body language to your team.

Is this your Team Culture? 1. We over Me 2. Process over Prize 3. Serving over Self-Serving 4. Learning over Knowing 5. Positivity over Negativity 6. Encouraging over Ignoring Culture WINS. Be a Gatekeeper of your Culture.

Unpopular Opinion: Talent alone is overrated. Hard work, discipline, and a team-first mindset will beat raw talent every time.
